Diese Nähanleitung beinhaltet mehr als 250 Fotos, an denen ich dir Schritt für Schritt zeige, wie du in ca. 3-6 Stunden die Mini Mynta Geldbörse von Hansedelli nähen kannst. Dieses Schnittmuster ist für Fortgeschrittene geeignet, aber anhand der sehr detaillierten Anleitung können es auch Geldbörsen-Neulinge schaffen (mit etwas Taschen-Näherfahrung).

Es handelt sich hierbei um eine digitale Nähanleitung und Schnittmuster im PDF-Format, du benötigst also ein Programm, welches PDFs öffnen kann (ich empfehle den Acrobat Reader, denn mit anderen Programmen kann es zu Fehldarstellungen kommen). Außerdem benötigst du einen Drucker, um das Schnittmuster auszudrucken.

Maße und Design

Mini Mynta ist eine kleine Geldbörse mit umlaufendem Reißverschluss und misst ca. H 9cm x B 11cm. Sie eignet sich super als Party-, Urlaubs- oder Kindergeldbörse. Sie kommt im modernen, geometrischen Design wie „Rucksack VARO“ oder „Tasche VARA“ daher. Du hast aber auch die Möglichkeit das Außenteil aus einem Stück (also ohne Teilung) anzufertigen.

Mini Mynta vervollständigt die Mynta Triologie, sodass du nun für jede Gelegenheit deine ganz eigene Geldbörse nähen kannst.

Verschluss

Verschlossen wird diese Geldbörse mit einem umlaufenden Reißverschluss, sodass alles sicher verwahrt ist. Ich empfehle für diese Geldbörse lieber einen Bügelschieber als einen Automatikschieber zu verwenden, da dieser auch noch gut von innen/der Rückseite verschoben werden kann. Ich zeige dir zudem, wie du die Enden am Reißverschluss schön sauber und ohne „Knubbel“ einfassen kannst.

Innenleben der Geldbörse

Innenfächer

Mini Mynta ist im Inneren sehr minimalistisch gehalten.  Es gibt 4 Kartenfächer (auf die bei Bedarf verzichtet werden kann, z.B. für die Kindergeldbörse), 1 Geldscheinfach (passend für 1x gefaltete Geldscheine) und ein weit zu öffnendes Münzfach für leichten Zugang zu den Münzen. Zwischen den Fächern finden Kassenbons oder andere Zettel ihren Platz. Die „Flügel“ verhindern, dass diese Dinge seitlich herausfallen.

Hinweis

Innen sollte ein dünner Baumwollstoff (max. 135g/qm – z.B. Popeline, Baumwollsatin, dünner Patchworkstoff) verwendet werden! Verwende keine dickeren Stoffe, sonst wird die Geldbörse zu dick und somit unbenutzbar.

These sewing instructions contain more than 250 photos where I show you, step by step, how to sew the mini zip-around wallet "Mini Mynta" by Hansedelli in about 3-6 hours. This pattern is suitable for advanced sewers, but with the very detailed instructions, even wallet newbies (with some bag sewing experience) can make it.

Dimensions and design

Mini Mynta measures approx. H 9cm (3 1/2") x W 11cm (4 3/8"). It is ideal as a small wallet for parties or vacation, or as a child's wallet. Mini Mynta is designed in a modern, geometrical design, such as "Backpack VARO" or "Crossbody bag VARA". But you can also make the exterior without contrasting fabric as a "one-piece exterior".

The stabiliser is inserted at the very end, therefore turning your wallet right side out is very easy. Mini Mynta completes the "Mynta-Trio", so you can now sew your very own wallet for every occasion.

Closure

Mini Mynta is closed with a zipper, so that everything is safely stored. I recommend using a non-lock slider rather than an auto-lock slider, as it can also be moved easily from the inside/back (without having to pull the handle).

Interior compartments

Mini Mynta has a very minimalist interior.  There are 4 card slots (which can be omitted, e.g. for the child's wallet), 1 banknote compartment (suitable for notes folded once) and a wide-opening coin compartment for easy access to coins. The accordion gussets hold the wallet together and ensure that nothing falls out at the sides. There is room in between to keep receipts or other slips of paper.

Note

For the lining you should use a lightweight cotton fabric (max. 135g/sqm or 4 oz/yd2 - e.g. poplin, cotton satin, thin quilting cotton)! Otherwise the wallet will be too thick and therefore unusable.

Fabrics:

2 exterior fabrics each approx. H 15cm x W 30cm (6" x 12") (or 1 exterior fabric in H 20cm (8") for "one-piece exterior")
Lining fabrics approx. 30cm x 90cm (1/2 yard) (lightweight cotton max. 135g/gsm)

Interfacing (based on 90cm (35") width):

30cm (12") of medium weight fusible interfacing 1 (e.g. Vlieseline H250 / Pellon 809)
20cm (8") of medium weight fusible interfacing 2 (e.g. Vlieseline S320 / Pellon 950F)
10cm (4") of heavy fusible stabiliser (e.g. Decovil heavy / Pellon 526)

Additional:

26cm (10 1/4") nylon coil zipper, tape width of 3 - 3.2cm (1 1/4") (equivalent to a coil width of 5-6mm = #5 zipper) + 1 slider
a piece of hook-and-loop tape, 20-25mm (3/4" - 1") wide (or a small, flat, easy-to-open snap fastener (without explanation))

Required tools:

Iron, double-sided tape, quilting ruler or geo-triangle, fabric clips and pins, marker pen, corner/edge former, lighter, teflon foot or walking foot (for faux leather), zipper foot, pinking shears, hand sewing needle
